Picnicking
Make your outdoor time enjoyable. Be prepared. Bring a blanket big enough for everyone. Bring a pillow; you will get tired. Pack water and ice. Bring or find shade.
There were so many uncomfortable faces at the Capitol Fourth. People were squirming with the discomfort of sitting on grass for hours in high humidity. The towels were barely large enough to cover a bottom leaving the grass to tickle hands and necks. Many were hungry, I gave away cookies, but that is little relief. Always be prepared and enjoy.
